Porsha Williams, star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has filed for divorce from Simon Guobadia, her husband of 15 months, according to court documents filed in Atlanta on Thursday, February 22.
Their split comes after a grand wedding ceremony held in Nigeria, followed by an American ceremony in Atlanta, in November 2022.
Despite their whirlwind romance, Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia announced their engagement in May 2021, just one month after beginning their relationship. They expressed their love for each other publicly, with Williams stating that they were “crazy in love” and embracing happiness every day.
While the cause of their divorce remains undisclosed, sources close to the couple have indicated that it is unrelated to recent allegations involving Guobadia’s past. The divorce proceedings are described as an “ongoing matter.”
The news of their split marks the end of a brief but highly publicized marriage between Williams, 42, and Guobadia, 59.
