We Won’t Repeat Mistake Of Voting Tinubu In 2027 – Northern Elders

The Northern Elders Forum has expressed grave remorse for its choice to vote for President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 elections.

According to the forum, the North has learned its lesson, and the Tinubu administration has faced increased security challenges.

The forum’s spokesperson, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, confirmed this in a recent interview with The Guardian.

According to him, the recent abduction of schoolchildren in Kuriga, Kaduna, demonstrates the government’s incapacity to safeguard its population, despite only being in office for a few months.

Suleiman appreciated former Anambra Governor Peter Obi’s recent moves towards northern communities, but emphasised that the region had learned from their previous mistake of voting for Tinubu, and that such errors would not be repeated in the future.

“The North made a mistake in voting Bola Tinubu to the presidency in 2023, and it is unlikely that they will repeat the same error in the future.”

“They have learned from their past misstep and will strive to select a candidate who can unite the country and govern in the best interests of all Nigerians.

“Moving forward, the North will be more cautious in selecting a candidate for the presidency. They will prioritize someone who is seen as more inclusive, less controversial, and more aligned with the interests of all regions of the country.

“The mistake of supporting Tinubu in 2023 has taught them the importance of unity and consensus in selecting a candidate for the highest office in the land,” he was quoted as saying.

In the last election, Tinubu received a total of 8,794,726 votes nationally, with the northern area accounting for nearly 5.4 million of them.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
