Police Recover Two Of Three Children Stolen; Rev Sister Nabbed

Two of the three children of the same parents who were stolen by a biker in Amaba Ime, Ikwuano LGA, Abia State, have been rescued by the police and returned to their parents.

Security personnel rescued them at Ekwulobia and Nkpor, both in Anambra State.

Mr Osinachi Nwaka, Chairman of Ikwuano LGA, confirmed the rescue of the two children when he met with members of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria, Abia State branch, led by Promise Uzoma Okoro.

The local government chairman confirmed that a Reverend Sister had been arrested in connection with the issue.

He stated that the disappearance of the three children gave him a restless night, prompting him to organise a series of meetings with various branches of the security forces.

Nwaka commended Governor Alex Otti, Abia State Commissioner of Police, and the leaders of other state security agencies for their efforts in rescuing the children, saying that the remaining child would be located shortly.

He said: “There are syndicates in every local government that trade on children. It amazes me that a man that bought one of the first boys paid N1.8m to buy life.

“A Reverend Sister is the middle person that distributes the children and collects her cut. She’s wearing white and still in state CID till today.”

He recommended parents to be more concerned about their children’s location and cautioned schools against taking students away for nonpayment of school fees.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
