Police Arrest 29-Year-Old Suspected R@pist And Serial K!ller

Ogunnaike Phillips, a 29-year-old accused kidnapper, r@pist, and serial killer, has been apprehended by police in Ogun state.

The suspect, who is said to be an Aye confraternity member, was arrested in connection with the death of 17-year-old Habeebah Akinsanya, who was r@ped and macheted to death at her father’s farm near Mile 6, a community a few metres from Ogun State Television in Abeokuta in September of this year.

According to State Commissioner of Police Abiodun Alamutu, Philips, a native of Ayepe Ijebu who now lives in Abeokuta, admitted to k!lling three additional minor females and burying their corpses in the bush.

The suspect took the commissioner and his group to the location of his victims’ graves, which was Asero estate in Abeokuta, Itori in Ewekoro, and Mile 6 along Ajebo road in Obafemi Owode local government, on Friday. According to him, Mary Ogunyemi, 23, and Abigail Dina, 22, are the other victims.

The commissioner claimed that the suspect and his accomplice, Danjuma, who is still at large, had a practice of enticing victims to secluded areas, collecting their phones, demanding ransom from relatives, and then killing them.

Speaking to reporters, the suspect said that his accomplice had recruited him for the murder and requested the death penalty.

“I don’t want the government to do anything for me, me and Danjuma and those cultist members, once they catch us, if they want to give us judgment, they should just kill us. Because they are the ones who led me to these stupid things” he said.

Alamutu, on the other hand, expressed dissatisfaction with the rising number of missing persons and criminality among young people and stated that an investigation was underway to find and apprehend the remaining gang members.

He promised to bring the suspect to court to face the consequences of his heinous crime, while families of the victims demanded justice for their loved ones’ untimely deaths.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
