EPL: Liverpool Tops The Table With Salah’s Goal

On the day that both of their title challengers lost, Liverpool overcame a deficit to defeat Brighton at a roaring Anfield and take the lead in the Premier League.

After dominating the first half, Brighton appeared to be on track to climb up to third place in the standings when Ferdi Kadioglu’s excellent 16-yard strike flew in via the inside of the post.

However, Liverpool equalized through a left-wing cross from Cody Gakpo, who scored his third goal against Albion in four days following his Carabao Cup double.

Three minutes later, Mohamed Salah turned the tide of the match with a stunning curl into the far corner from the right side of the box.

It was an especially impressive comeback because Brighton had been playing so well – and keeping the home crowd quiet at times.

They could have led by more but Liverpool keeper Caoimhin Kelleher saved Georginio Rutter’s effort – before the second-half comeback.

Up Liverpool!!
