Khalid, who claimed to have been outed by another singer, has announced his s€xual orientation on social media. The R&B singer posted a rainbow flag emoji and the words, “there yall go,” on X (previously Twitter) on Friday night.
Next topic, please, lol. The declaration came after a series of online occurrences, including a tweet from a different user who made assumptions about his s€xual orientation. Regarding a comment that said, “I hope Mr. Khalid isn’t GEHHH!,” Khalid verified and quoted, “I am! And that’s okay.
Khalid later elaborated on his post, explaining his perspective on being outed. “I got outted and the world still continues to turn. Let’s get this straight (lmao) I am not ashamed of my s€xuality! In reality, it ain’t nobodies business! But I am okay with me. love yall.”
He seemed to be alluding to a slew of since-deleted posts by fellow musician Hugo D. Almonte, who allegedly disclosed Khalid’s s€xual orientation without getting his permission.
Despite the circumstances, Khalid expressed comfort with his identity and emphasized his privacy. “I wasn’t hiding anything! It’s just not any of your business,” he stated, doubling down on his confidence and self-acceptance.
Most fans have been positive in their responses, with many citing evidence from Khalid’s earlier work, such as his 2022 song Satellite, which some have called an LGBTQ anthem.
A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
