Kanye West Reveals What His Son Did That Inspired His New Album “Bully”

Kanye “Ye” West said that his 9-year-old son’s bullying inspired the name of his new album.

The rapper spoke on Justin LaBoy’s The Download podcast this week, where he talked about a variety of topics.

During their conversation, Ye also discussed the inspiration for his new album, Bully.

Bully is Kanye’s first solo project in over three years.

When asked why he named the album Bully, Kanye explained that it was inspired by his 9-year-old son Saint West, whom he shares with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

“My son was playing with some kid, and then he kicked him,” Ye began. “I asked my son, ‘Why did you do that?’ He said, ‘Because he weak.’”

“I was like, This man is really a bully right here,” Ye laughed.

Host Justin laughed along with Ye before stating, “Saint, you the reason for Bully.”

Host Justin laughed with Ye before saying, “Saint, you’re the reason for Bully.”

When the rapper brought up Saint’s apparent tendency of kicking and pushing other children, Justin responded, “I wonder where he got that from, which parent.” “Definitely a young Ye.”

Several social media users have since called Ye’s comments “weird” and “disgusting.”

“He’s proud to have raised a bully smh,” one person wrote.

“Uhm…. okay… this is weird. I have so many thoughts,” someone else said.

“As if you’re child kicking other child who seemed ‘weak’ is something to brag on. Disgusting,” another comment read.

“praising your kid for being a bully. yeah, that’s going to work out really well. Great parenting. Not,” one more user added.

This comes months after Saint West’s YouTube account was suspended because he made two rude posts against Kamala Harris, who was running for President of the United States.

Saint used derogatory terms like “sh**” and “dumb” to describe Kamala Harris in his posts.

One post featured an image of an unhappy man lifting his foot to inspect the sole of his shoe, with the words “I stepped in s***” scrawled above him. A photograph of Harris is then shown on the shoe.

Another video posted on his channel had a shot of Harris overlaid with the popular GIF of the Saved by the Bell actors saying the phrases “dumb,” “stupid,” “crazy,” and “dangerous.”
