The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command detained two alleged cultists.
RRS announced this in a statement on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
According to the statement, the suspects, Okey Bright, also known as “B in Fine Boy”, 21, and Daniel Prince, 22, were apprehended around 4:00 a.m. on Monday, February 11th, while returning from their confraternity’s annual conference at a hotel (name withheld) in Lekki.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that Bright, a resident of Ikoyi, joined the confraternity in 2024. He is a university student,” the statement read.
“Prince, who goes by the alias “Rugged Promotion”, is a hair stylist and a university student.
“Their arrest was prompted by the suspicious movement of one of the suspects, Daniel Prince, who was carrying a cross bag.
“In Prince’s bag, the operatives discovered caps associated with the confraternity, leading to the immediate arrest of both suspects.
“The arrest reinforces the ongoing efforts of the State Command to curb cult related activities and maintain law and order in the State.
“The suspects have been transferred to CP’s Special Squad for further investigations.”
