Woman D!es Months After Writing About How People Who Didn’t Impact Her Positively Will Make Contributions For Her Burial Ceremony

Safe Na’andak Pankyes, a Nigerian woman, died, leaving friends and relatives in sadness.

Safe, from Plateau State, married Pankyes Galak on March 30, 2024.

During the sorrow, her heartfelt Facebook message has gone viral.

In a post dated September 4, 2024, Safe requested that she be commemorated while she is still alive to see the display of affection.

She also wrote about how those who had the opportunity to positively impact her but chose not to do so would come out after her death to contribute to her funeral ritual.

“A Day will come my Pictures will fly all over Social Media tagged RIP. Both those I’ve impacted directly or indirectly will shade natural and artificial tears. Only myself will be buried down the dark shallow breathless. People who had the opportunity to help impact me positively and show love to me but didn’t do will come out making contributions to plan a burial ceremony for me. Please, Celebrate me now that I’m alive because when I go down I wouldn’t be here to see all that you will do when I die. Thank you once again,” she wrote.

On Sunday, February 23, 2025, family members and friends confirmed her death via Facebook posts.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
