Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Primeboy Have No Hand In Mohbad’s De@th, Court Rules

The Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, discharged and acquitted singer Abdulazeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, his associate, Samson Balogun Eletu aka SamLarry, Owodunni Ibrahim aka Primeboy, and Mohbad’s manager, Opere Babatunde, on February 25 in the case of the death of Aloba Oladimeji lleriOluwa, also known as Mohbad.

According to Channels TV, Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, who reviewed and followed the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) Lagos’ legal opinion, stated that they had no case to answer over the late singer’s untimely death.

The DPP, on the other hand, stated that it will prosecute the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, and one of Mohbad’s friends, Ayobami Sadiq, for reckless and negligent acts in violation of Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law, Ch.17, Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

The two will be charged in Magistrate Court.

Mohbad died in dubious circumstances on September 12, 2023. Following his death, Naira Marley and Sam Larry were accused of belittling the artist while he was living. The police arrested them and charged them in court.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
