US Excludes UK, Nigeria, Other African Countries From Visa-Free Entry For 2025

The United States of America has announced the list of countries eligible for its 2025 Visa Waiver Programme.

The US government has officially announced its Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) list for 2025, with Nigeria and other African countries completely removed amid President Donald Trump’s mass deportation.

While 40 countries, including European, Asian, and select Middle Eastern nations, were granted visa-free access into the United States, no African nation was included as the government updated its policies on permit privilege eligibility and other issues.

Major US allies such as the United Kingdom were also left out, though British residents are still eligible under certain conditions.

According to the US Bureau of Consular Affairs website, the Visa Waiver Program allows most citizens or nationals of participating nations to visit the United States for vacation or business for up to 90 days without requiring a visa.

The agency stated: “Travellers must have a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval prior to travel and meet all requirements explained below. If you prefer to have a visa in your passport, you may still apply for a visitor visa.”

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
