Sultan Declares Saturday Day 1 Of Ramadan

The Holy Month of Ramadan officially begins on Saturday, March 1, 2025, according to His Eminence Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto.

On Friday night, February 28, the 29th day of Shaban, the Sultan announced from his palace that the crescent moon had been seen earlier in the day.

The council confirmed and approved the observations after receiving numerous reports of moon sightings from various locations, formally marking the beginning of Ramadan 1446.

In order to ask Allah for blessings and direction for the country and its officials, the Sultan encouraged Muslims to use the holy month for prayer.

He also underlined the value of charity, advocating support for the less privileged to enable them to follow the fasting period.

Muslims in Nigeria are now prepared to start the month-long period of prayer, fasting, and devotion after receiving approval from Islamic officials across the country.

May this holy month bring you closer to your family and strengthen your faith in Allah.

Live with Purpose, Love with Passion. Remember to be happy
