Every mother is charged with the task of nurturing children who will grow up to impact their world positively.
Every adult out there comes from a home, whether he or she is influencing his/her world positively or not. No matter the educational qualification or career or business achievement of an individual, the way he/she is nurtured has a great impact on the person’s personality, which determines the impact of such an individual on the world around him/her.
Though nurturing is not only meant for mothers we have more influence on our children because we spend more time with them as they grow, this is due to our responsibilities as mothers.
A mother’s love is a guiding force that teaches, instructs, advises, and comforts. When a mother nurtures with love, her influence on her child’s character is awesome.
Such will be able to build and shape the character of her child in such a way that the influence resonates with the child even when such a child grows and leaves the home.
Nurturing children with love builds good emotional intelligence in our children. Emotional Intelligence is needed to reach and sustain great heights in our present world.
The act of guidance that is deeply rooted in love builds trust and security. When we lovingly correct our children’s mistakes, we teach them accountability and personal growth. Gentle, but firm instructions foster respect and a willingness to learn in children.
Every mother is also a model to their children. We are encouraged to model kindness and compassion, as we help and respond to the feelings of others around us. These emotional attitudes form the foundation of an empathetic leader—-one who listens to others and feels what they feel, one who is not selfish and authoritative.
They are the characteristics of a great leader.
