In connection with a shooting in 2021, American rapper A$AP Rocky has been charged with assault and firearm possession.
The musician was accused of personally using a firearm and was charged with two counts of assault with a semiautomatic weapon, according to PageSix.
“Discharging a gun in a public place is a serious offence that could have ended with tragic consequences not only for the person targeted but also for innocent bystanders visiting Hollywood,” George Gascón, the attorney for the Los Angeles District said.
Rocky was detained in April and accused of assault with a dangerous weapon.
The rapper is being looked into by the LAPD for allegedly taking part in a shooting on November 6.
Police claimed that after a dispute between “two acquaintances,” a shooter shot a victim with a handgun and fled the scene on foot with two other suspects after the shooting.
The rapper, A$AP Rocky was later named as the suspected shooter by authorities.
