Allow God’s Word To Inspire You

Exodus 19:1-2,9-11,16-20
Matthew 13:10-17

In today’s gospel, the people Jesus was speaking to about the kingdom of God while using the parables as narrated by Matthew, and yet the people did not believe in His word and so any message of spirituality would have been immediately rejected because the people were not ready to listen.

This is why Our Lord Jesus appreciates the openness of His disciples towards God’s grace; that they accepted His teachings and acknowledged that He is the Lord. But it was all planned by God – the one who knows the number of hairs on our heads, the specks of sand on the seashore– He knows it all, and He knew that they would follow and dedicate themselves to Him.

There are moments in our lives too when we miss His message, or of not wanting to hear what He wants us to hear. Let us open up our hearts to receive it. He comes to us as we can understand Him, He appears to us in ways that we can accept Him and know who He is.

The gift of understanding has been given to us, thanks to the Holy Spirit who dwells in our hearts, let us be sensitive in accepting the grace that God shares with us. Allow yourself to be inspired by what God can do for you. Trust in Him and believe.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
