King Charles And Queen Camilla Reacts Over A Knife Attack That Killed Two Children
Two children were killed in a knife attack during a dance party with a Taylor Swift theme, leaving King Charles and Queen Camilla “profoundly shocked.”
The 75-year-old monarch and his 77-year-old wife made public statements following an attack on Monday in Southport, Merseyside, that targeted children and left six young victims and two adults who attempted to protect them in critical condition. Witnesses compared the incident to something from a “horror film.” On the Royal Family’s X account, he and Camilla shared:
“My wife and I have been profoundly shocked to hear of the utterly horrific incident in Southport today. “We send our most heartfelt condolences, prayers, and deepest sympathies to the families and loved ones of those who have so tragically lost their lives and to all those affected by this truly appalling attack.”
After scores of kids gathered for a “Taylor Swift yoga and dance” summer holiday club at 11:50 a.m., allegations of multiple stabbings prompted the dispatch of armed police and ambulances to the Hart Space Studios.
According to authorities, a 17-year-old teenager from Banks has been detained on murder charges, and two adults who attempted to protect the kids are critically ill after suffering injuries.

Witnesses compared the situation to “a scene from a horror movie.” The children were attending a Taylor Swift event at a dance school when a 17-year-old with a knife entered and began his “horrendous and ferocious attack,” according to Merseyside Police Chief Constable Serena Kennedy during a press conference.
According to the force, the adolescent is still in police custody and will be questioned. Officers have confirmed that the male is originally from Cardiff but now resides in the Banks area.
Numerous witnesses reported seeing a man in a black hood at the scene of the tragedy, but police said they are not searching for anyone else in relation to the stabbing.
