REFLECTION

Our God is a loving Father who cares for his children. Everyday and every moment, He showers his blessings on all mankind. He cares for all people. All lives matter to God. Sarah in the first reading did not care much about Hagar and especially Abraham son Ishmael she just wanted her out of the house and heritage but God was with Ishmael and he became a bowman.

The people of Gadarene did not care about the two demoniac. They saw them as terror. They cared much less for the two demoniac to be saved than the entire herds of pigs rushed down the cliff and got drowned by the demons in them. Rather than see this miracle as God saving power over the soul, they told Jesus to leave their district. The choice to do good or bad lies in our hands. We are urged today to care for others, to see life has sacred just as we also have received healing , holiness and care from God, Our Father.

Shalom
