ST. SCHOLASTICA

Genesis 3:1-8
Mark 7:31-37

God has full power and authority over everyone of us and the entire multiverse. The first reading points to us how man fell into sin as a result of disobedience. In today’s gospel, people brought a deaf man with the impediment of speaking to Jesus for healing. When we talk about deafness is the inability to hear whereas being dumb is the inability to speak. From a spiritual point of view right from our baptism, we need to constantly hear the word of God and proclaim it through our words and actions.

In His mysterious providence, God wishes us to pray for healing, believing that He can do all things. Whatever physical or health-related struggles you and your loved ones are facing, be open to the word of God, be obedient to his commands for texts like this urge us to keep calling out to Jesus, our Great Physician. Our lives our in His hands, and He cares for us. Nothing can separate us from the love of God.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
