Stay Awake, Take Action, And Be Ready For The Coming Of Christ

Daniel 7:15-27
Luke 21:34-36

In today’s first reading, Daniel was vividly disturbed by his vision. He saw the empires that dominated the world of his time, and he anguished as we do when cherished spiritual values were being violated. In today’s Gospel, the Lord opens our hearts today with his words to stay awake and. be careful even as we enjoy the goodness of this world. We must not be carried away by the pleasures of this life but prepare for His coming. All the year round, every hour of every day, God is richly blessing us; both when we sleep and when we wake his mercy waits upon us. Let us not take his blessings for granted. Let us render it by the inward emotions of gratitude. Let our hearts be warmed; let our spirits remember, meditate, and think upon this goodness of the Lord.

Then let us praise him with our lips, and laud and magnify his name from whose bounty all this goodness flows. Let us glorify God by yielding our gifts to His cause for His sovereignty is eternal sovereignty. May His kingdom come. I wish you the joy of the Advent season!

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
