Thanksgiving is an expression of gratitude, especially to God. Being thankful is an important part of being happy in life. Pastor Faith Oyedepo will always say that if you know how to think that you will surely know how to thank God.

Thanking God is an open door to abundance. Thanking God for favors received is indeed for our benefit. A popular Yoruba adage states that; “when we show appreciation for something that is given to us, we are sure that we will receive more of it in the future”.

When we thank God, he takes over our battles because God knows that we will show appreciation by thanking him. An act of thanksgiving causes us to scale new heights and also empowers us to flourish more in all we do.

We should always learn to appreciate God for every little thing he gives us. We should not be like the 9 lepers who did not look back to give thanks rather we should be like the 10th leper that came back to give thanks. God is always happy with us when we give him thanks and I know he will never stop making us fruitful when we thank him.

Saying thank you is one of the simplest yet most powerful things humans can do for each other.

Make it a habit to tell God thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate God. Truly appreciate God and you
will find out that you have more of him in your life.
