The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency’s rapid and prompt response to a train accident at Ilupeju Bye-pass, Ilupeju, on Tuesday, May 10, prevented a tragedy that may have resulted in fatalities.

When the Response Team arrived on the site, it was discovered that a Toyota Hiace bus with the registration number EKY 888 XW had collided with a train at the abovementioned address.

The accident occurred as a result of the bus driver’s careless driving.

According to additional information acquired at the site, all vehicles were stopped at the railway crossing, but the driver refused to heed the traffic officials on the scene, causing him to slam into the moving train.
