A never before seen footage of two tennis fans have come viral online and has become the subject of discussion on social media after one of them was spotted sprinkling a mysterious substance into a drink at Wimbledon.
The footage which was captured on Thursday showed two men enjoying Liam Brody’s Court Three clash with Diego Schwartzman over two glasses of champagne having a great time at Wimbledon.
After the camera focused on the pair, one of the men dipped his finger and thumb into a mystery bag and is seen sprinkling something in his friend’s cup. The sprayer then reached back downstairs and adjusted his bag before the camera returned to action.
The bizarre scene happened on the fourth day of Wimbledon, with Britt Brody delivering a brilliant performance to upset 12th seed Schwartzman in five sets.
Brody, 28, said of his incredible comeback win: “I just stayed there and it’s the biggest win of my career.
“It’s an amazing feeling. I thought I was coming off the court and got out in the second round for the third time but you guys were amazing.
“Sometimes I struggle to put the ball on the court, although my heart is always there. With everyone’s support, I had no way of giving up.”
Brody will face Australian Alex de Minaur in the fourth round of the historic SW19 tournament.
De Minaur currently dates high-flying Brit Katie Boulter, although Brody insists he will not hold grudges against her for supporting his partner.
During an appearance on talkSPORT, he said: “It’s hard because it’s hard to come out with the men’s best of five sets and then go see the other guys.
“You can be in court for four hours and then go and see someone else for four hours. And sometimes I think it’s better to just stay away from showing up for a few games and then go back to distract the player.
“Once guys start to go out of the tournament I think you’ll see some guys start to appear in different people’s boxes here and there.
“Obviously I’m playing Alex de Minaur in a day and you might see Katie Boulter in his box. I won’t hold it against her!”
As of the time of filing this report, none of the men captured on camera has been identified, nor has the mysterious substance that was placed in the drink.
