1 Euro Equals 1 US Dollar For The First Time In 20 Years

One U.S. dollar is now equivalent to one euro for the first time in nearly two decades.

On Tuesday, July 12, the euro and the dollar struck parity after nearly 20 years of the euro being superior.

1 EUR is equal to 1 USD as of Tuesday. With the change, European businesses and individuals will pay more for the goods and services they import while seeing an immediate decrease in the price of European exports on global markets.

Since early February, when the euro was worth over $1.13, its value has fallen dramatically.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
