12-Year-Old Twins, Both Crushed To Death In Imo

Twins Chiadikaobi and Chisom Njoku, both 12 years old, died in a tragic accident in Imo State’s Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area.

The accident took place on Friday, July 22, at around 2:00 pm, close to their family’s home on the Afo Oru-Ama Nwoga road.

The twins were reportedly returning from Best Brain Academy, Umuagbavu Umuokrika when they were fatally crushed by the car.

According to witnesses, the car struck the girl in the leg before knocking them to the ground.

The twins’ father, Mr Ejike Njoku, described the event in detail, claiming that neither he nor his wife, Mrs Nkeiru Njoku, were at home when the accident occurred but that they returned in response to distress calls to find their twin daughter dead in Hope Hospital Afor Oru.

According to him, all efforts to save his son were futile since, by the time he arrived at Cecilia Memorial Hospital in Ogbe Ahiara, he had already passed away.

The twins’ untimely demise left the couple distressed, but they insisted that they would not question God, the creator who has given and taken, and in complete surrender to his divine will, they handed the situation over to him because he is almighty and all-knowing.

The family fought hard to prevent the furious youths from attacking the driver and his vehicle, and they remained steadfast in their refusal to ever seek restitution from him or his family.

The following evening, the twins’ corpses were buried in their family’s compound.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
