“2.5 Million Reward For Anyone Who Provides Information On Ogun State INEC Office Attack” – Police

The Ogun State Police Command has announced a N2.5 million reward for anyone with information that will result in the capture of those responsible for the recent attack on the INEC office on November 10 in the Iyana Mortuary neighbourhood of the Abeokuta South local government area of Ogun State.

Hoodlums broke into the INEC office in the middle of the night with bread loaves soaked in petrol, which they tossed into various parts of the building before setting it on fire in Ogun State.

The state police command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said in a statement issued today, December 5, that state Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has since ordered the State Criminal Investigation Departments of the Command to launch an investigation in an effort to identify the arsonists responsible for the heinous act.

The spokesperson said, “In furtherance to the directive to get to the root of the matter, and bring the perpetrators to justice the Command has resolved to reward anybody with credible information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators with the sum of #2.5 million.

“In view of this, any member of the public with useful information that will assist the command should come forward, and be rest assured that such information will be treated with utmost confidentiality.”
