2023: “I Don’t Wrestle With Pigs” – Bola Ahmed Tinubu

Bola Tinubu, a presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has taken a jab at other candidates for the presidency, saying that he does not wrestle with pigs.

During a town hall meeting in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, the APC’s presidential candidate stated that Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and others, lack the kind of experience needed to lead the country.

He claimed that other candidates for the presidency have used insults and abuse to distract him, divert his focus, and engage in a power struggle with him.

However, the former governor of Lagos State stated that though, considering himself a wrestler, he would not engage in a contest with the pig and engage them in their dirty games.

He said, “No other person is running like me. They have no facts, they have no experience. They have no track record. They have no degree of honesty. They can’t keep their promises. They resort to insults and abuses to detract. No, it doesn’t catch me; to divert, I say no, I’m from Tinubu square; to wrestle, I’m a wrestler, but I don’t wrestle with the pig.”

He claims that the advancement of Nigeria is what motivates him to run in the 2023 election.

He stressed that the mission of pushing Nigeria ahead must be achieved in 2023 and voiced concern that the country had not advanced as it should have been 60 years ago.

He said, “My concern is the development of Nigeria. This a talented country, God blessed this country. In the past 60 years, we are yet to make the necessary progress we ought to have made. Telling the past stories is gone with the wind; moving Nigeria forward is a task that must be done.”
