23-Year-Old Man St@bs Self To D3ath In Delta

A 23-year-old man, ThankGod Elufo, reportedly took his own life by st@bbing himself behind Nwodo estate in the Ajaji (Bonsaac) layout area of Asaba, the capital of Delta State.

It was learned that the incident occurred on Sunday, June 29, 2025, after his elder brother instructed the deceased to get ready for an outing.

An eyewitness informed Punch that when the incident took place at night, a call was made to the Vigilante Chairman in the layout, Mr. Okolo, who visited the scene.

“The incident happened behind Nwodo estate in Ajaji layout. They called the vigilante Chairman to inform him. I went there with the vigilante Chairman, Mr. Okolo, yesterday night, according to his elder brother who asked him to dress up for an outing. The brother was waiting for him, not knowing that his younger brother had entered the kitchen and st@bbed himself,” the source said.

“So, when we came there and found his body in the kitchen. The Chairman vigilante in Ajaji layout, called DPO B Division, who sent some police to the scene around 11pm, his body was removed by police to be deposited in the morgue.

“The young man escaped poison last year. He was poisoned by an unknown; since then, he has been acting funny. Sometimes he will start shouting that people want to k!ll him but his brothers did not understand.”

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident on Monday. “Yes, it’s confirmed,” the PPRO said.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
