If you’re still reading this, it means you can’t wait to try it out and it’s probably time you set aside an evening this week to pamper yourself and show your hair some love. Hair masks are quick yet effective in providing your hair with tons of health benefits from nature in less than 20 minutes.
Here are three beneficial DIY hair masks that will leave your hair looking and feeling its best.
Avocado, eggs, and Mayonnaise Mask
Ingredients • 1 avocado • 1 egg • 1 Tbsp. of Mayonnaise • 1 Tbsp. of coconut oil (optional) This is my OG mask. I have used it several times and it always leaves my hair feeling so soft and hydrated. All you need to do is cut out your ripe avocado into your blender; add 1 full egg and 1 tablespoon of Mayonnaise. Add coconut oil or any other oil, if it’s available, this is for an added boost of shine. Blend them all together and pour them into a plate. Apply and massage into your hair and scalp. Cover your hair with a shower cap or steaming cap and leave for 30 – 40 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and shampoo as usual.
Carrot and Argan Oil Hair Mask Ingredients
• 2 or 3 carrots • 2 Tbsp. of Argan oil
Argan oil is rich in vitamin E and antioxidants, which help in restoring and replenishing the hair. It is great for people with dry hair. This oil adds shine to your hair. Carrots are also packed with Vitamin A and E which boosts blood circulation in turn promoting hair growth. Cut the carrots into small pieces and blend them in a food processor. Mix two tablespoons of argan oil until you have a thick paste. Apply this mask all over your scalp and hair and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse and shampoo as usual.
3 Egg Hair Mask.
Ingredients 1 – 2 eggs (depending on the volume of your hair)
I know it sounds weird to put eggs in your hair but only the OGs know what this mask packs. This mask is commonly used everywhere. Eggs work as conditioners for our hair. They restore shine and improve its texture. Just whisk one or two eggs depending on your hair type and volume and apply. It’s that simple. I heard adding a few drops of lemon takes away the nasty smell, will you try it and let me know?
Conclusion DIY Hair masks are excellent ways to provide your hair with good food without breaking the bank. Whether you need moisture, deep conditioning, or repair, these masks offer a natural and beneficial solution for healthier, shinier hair.
