43-Year-Old Paedophile Receives Life Sentence After Raping A Baby

After admitting to raping and sexually assaulting a baby in the United Kingdom, a 43-year-old paedophile was sentenced to life in prison.

Gareth Davis, from Runcorn, was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum period of 27 years on Monday, May 10, after admitting to his heinous acts at Chester Crown Court.

Davis was apprehended in October 2021 after officers from the National Crime Agency discovered a lot of indecent images of children (IIOC), which he uploaded online.

Davis had taken some of the photos, which showed him rapping and sexually assaulting a baby. He had also photographed another small child naked.

Davis sent the IIOC contents to an online contact, who was later tracked down and arrested by NCA operatives.

On his phone were found other 512 IIOC contents, as well as screenshots of Google image searches for ‘baby models’ and ‘underground child modelling photos.’

Davis pleaded guilty to rape of a child under the age of 13, sexual assault by penetration of a minor under the age of 13, and three counts of creating IIOC on December 3, 2021.

If he is ever released, he will be on probation and the sex offenders list for the rest of his life.

According to Kerry Gilgrist of the National Crime Agency, “The abuse carried out by Davis is nothing short of horrendous.

“He raped a baby and exploited another child for his own sexual gratification, then went one step further and shared images of his abuse with another like-minded individual online.

“There is no greater priority for the NCA than disrupting sexual offenders and protecting children. I’m pleased that this investigation has ensured Davis has been brought to justice and is now behind bars, where he no longer poses a threat.”
