47-Year-Old Lady Dies After Undergoing Whole-body Liposuction

Authorities in Russia are looking into how a 47-year-old lady died after her condition deteriorated ‘catastrophically’ two days after having whole-body liposuction at a Russian clinic.

Anna Andrea, a 47-year-old lady, reportedly had fat removed in a single surgery from her face, neck, chin, breasts, stomach, hips, flanks, back, inner and outer thighs, buttocks, knees, calves, and ankles.

The operation was carried out in St. Petersburg by Maria Burlova, the head of the Abriell Clinic.

The dead woman’s husband and daughter claimed they were not informed when she was transported to a state hospital two days after the surgery due to difficulties.

She is thought to have had a heart attack and swollen up.

Kira Fedora, her daughter, claimed that her mother’s plans solely included a facelift.

“She only discussed this procedure with me, and also with her friends and my father,” said the bereaved daughter.

She claimed her mother was ‘pressured’ into having surgery on her entire body, which the facility openly promotes.

Her mother had undergone heart tests prior to the procedure and declared “everything was fine.”

Her mother spoke with her relatives after the full-body liposuction before her situation deteriorated.

“We have already filed a lawsuit against this clinic,” said the daughter.

The Russian Investigative Committee is looking into the matter.

According to the allegations, the clinic carries out work or provides services that do not meet safety requirements.

As a result, the maximum jail sentence for negligence-related death is six years.
