80% Of Olu Jacobs Time Is No Longer Here, His Wife Says

Ace Nollywood actress and movie director, Joke Silva, has said it has not been easy managing the health challenges of her husband and eminent actor, Olu Jacobs.

The frontline actor has been battling dementia for some time. Silva spoke on the health challenges of her thespian husband in an interview with another media personality and actress Nancy Isime

She said her husband’s poor health had changed him significantly, adding that Olu Jacobs is no longer the man she walked down the aisle with 37 years ago.

It hasn’t been easy. There was a point of acceptance for me that everything happening is reality. It is like the person I married, 80 per cent of the time, is no longer there.

“But the thing is this: when he was there, he was an incredible father to his children and an amazing husband. He was practically my best friend.”

Silva said despite her husband’s health challenge, she has not stopped loving him.

The husband I knew is no longer there for me. This man that is here is someone I still love, but love in a different way,” she said.

Home is not home when a sick body is lying around, especially when it is your husband. You always want to see him healthy and fit, hugging him with a big smile on his face. I know that this is the toughest time for you and I can’t help but say that your husband is so lucky to have a strong woman like you. The lord God is your strength ma’am.

Live with Purpose, Love with Passion. Remember to be happy

One ❤️❤️❤️
