War In Ukraine To Continue For Another Two Years — European Union

The European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, has cautioned that the ongoing conflict in Ukraine might persist for a minimum of an additional two years, as reported by the Spanish newspaper El País.

Kallas, shown in the image above alongside Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, indicated that the fighting has arrived at a stalemate, with Russia displaying growing belligerence—a pattern highlighted by the latest assault on Poland.

Experts referenced in the article contend that the hostilities are improbable to reach equilibrium without alterations in the command structures on either side.

In remarks delivered to several news organizations, Kallas described her views on possible trajectories for the conflict’s progression, according to Caliber.Az, which drew from international press sources.

“I think a realistic scenario is that the war will continue for another couple of years,” she said. “Unfortunately, efforts to achieve peace, including those by President Trump, have yielded no results.”

In a bleaker outlook, Kallas proposed that Ukraine could potentially be compelled to relinquish portions of its land.

Regarding China, she pointed out two primary difficulties it presents to the European Union: backing for Russia amid the Ukraine situation and “coercive economic practices.”

“We are not ready to act as a global player when it comes to China, because we lack a unified vision on what needs to be done,” Kallas added.

During her address to the European Parliament on September 9, Kallas asserted that Russian President Vladimir Putin shows no inclination toward achieving peace in Ukraine.

“Putin has zero interest in peace and will not stop the war unless he is forced to,” Kallas said.

She underscored Europe’s determination to stand by Ukraine:

“Russia has not broken the resolve of Ukraine. It is not breaking ours either.”

On the evening of September 10, 2025, Russian forces initiated a major assault on Poland involving 19 unmanned aerial vehicles. Polish aerial defense mechanisms managed to intercept just four of them, whereas remnants were discovered in 11 municipalities and across three provinces, indicating meticulous orchestration.

Certain drones were recognized as the Gerbera variant, which intelligence sources indicate Russia employs to imitate Shahed models and thereby disorient opposing aerial defenses.

As a countermeasure, Poland has requested from NATO supplementary aerial protection equipment, encompassing Patriot missile systems, and floated the concept of establishing a “drone wall” to shield against subsequent incursions.

Within the preceding 24 hours, authorities in Ukraine documented over 200 engagements along the frontline. Russia executed numerous missile and aerial bombardments and unleashed approximately 6,000 one-way attack drones.

Ukrainian troops maintained their defensive lines, successfully countering offensives in every sector. Estimates placed Russian armed forces casualties during that interval at approximately 900 soldiers.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
