LASTING SECURITY

In today’s gospel, I’m inspired to reflect on a curious scene: a man in the crowd challenging Jesus about his inheritance, a reminder of the human tendency to focus on earthly possessions. Jesus responds with a powerful parable, urging us not to base our security on temporary treasures but to seek the everlasting kingdom of God and righteousness.

Earthly riches may shine brightly, but they are fleeting—life is full of change and risk. Yet, we are called to stand strong, look beyond these transient challenges, and focus on the glorious future that awaits us.

Let’s avoid the trap of the foolish rich man, who was full of himself yet empty before God. Instead, let’s aspire to be filled with God’s grace, trusting that He will grant us strength and blessings as we follow in His footsteps. Narrow is the path that leads to life and the rewards are eternal!

Have a lovely week ahead!
