BE READY WHEN OPPORTUNITY COMES

Opportunity comes but once, so make the most of it. In today’s gospel, Jesus weeps over Jerusalem, a city many times unfaithful to God, rejecting His prophets and now Him as their Messiah. Their pride and unbelief led to ruin, rejecting salvation despite miracles and blessings. This tragic pattern climaxed at Jesus’ Passion, when they hailed Him as Son of David but later demanded His crucifixion. We are also temples of the Holy Spirit; the opportunity to repent and accept God’s salvation is today. The power to change is available—choose rightly
