ARE YOU RECOGNIZED AS A CHILD OF GOD?

What do people think of you as a child of God? Both John the Baptist and Jesus proclaimed God’s kingdom and salvation. John called for repentance, pointed to Jesus as the Lamb of God, and Jesus urged repentance from sin, removing the world’s sins through His death. They spoke boldly—John to Herod and the religious leaders, Jesus to the Scribes and Pharisees—earning ire and imprisonment.

Today, Jesus warns us to accept God’s word in time, urging repentance, attuning to God’s message, and joyfully sharing the good news. We should embrace our faith fully, as our lives depend on God’s word. Following Him brings life and light. Following brings graces and peace. May God grant us health, happiness, and well-being. Amen.
