Fear Not

Isaiah 6:1-8,
Matthew 10 :24-33(9.7.22)

That lonely grave in the royal necropolis would eloquently testify to coming generations that all earthly monarchy must bow before the inviolable order of the divine will, and that no interference could be tolerated with that unfolding of the purposes of God…” (Dr. Green’s Kingdom of Israel).

Our history, our lives is defined by God. It is interesting to note how the first reading started. Isaiah was given his mission to proclaim the word of God when King Uzziah died. King Uzziah who reigned as king of Judah for a very long time since he was 16 years of age later on became disobedient to God command and his temple. He wanted to sacrifice just like the priests do and they spoke to him about it but before he could go further in offering of incense a great earthquake shook the ground, and a rent was made in the temple, and the bright rays of the sun shone through it, and fell upon the king’s face, insomuch that the leprosy began immediately and he was taken to a separate house till he died. It was around this moment of resolution among the people that God gave Isaiah his mission. Isaiah was aware of God’s presence in the lives of his people. Christ came to enrich our lives and to establish God’s kingdom here amongst us. He told his apostles not to be afraid. Fear is something that haunts many of us. There is so much fear and the enemy still continues to sow tares among the wheat. It is God’s kingdom that will last forever. The kingdom of truth, life, love, justice, and peace. The kingdom of God has power over and beyond every human or earthly institution

“But the Lord your God you shall fear; and He shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies”. 2Kings 17:39. Today and everyday, fear God and obey His word. The Lord will deliver you from all your enemies and all evils in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
