Motherhood: Prayer: The Foundation Of Parenting 6

Hello Great Mothers!

As good mothers, we desire that your children grow up happy, secure, and unharmed. You desire your children to fervently love the Lord with all of their hearts, walk in step with God, and elude the traps of this world.

As they develop and mature, you want them to make decisions that are sane and sensible.

But let’s face it: you can’t control all of that.
As our children get older and more independent, there are so many aspects of parenting that are out of our control. This brings us to the fourth way of parenting with prayer as our foundation

Pray for your children always

One of the most effective things we do for our children as their mothers is to always pray for our children. I’m referring to fervently praying for your kids every day.

Whenever we pray, we are asking our loving God to intervene on behalf of our children. When we pray, we ask Him to protect them and also take control of their thoughts, actions, their choice of friends, lifestyle, studies, future, and so on. You and I know that there is a need for us to involve God in our parenting, by constantly praying for our children. Our children are more exposed to different forms of immorality now than ever. Children are being deceived and lured into different forms of beliefs that may destroy their souls, thereby destroying their futures.

I Peter 5:8 says the enemy of our souls is on the prowl, ever looking for someone to devour.

We do not need to be afraid, for Nehemiah 4:14 says “Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!”

So mothers! Fight for your children on your knees. The good thing is that God answers us whenever we pray. We are confident that our children are in God’s hands whenever we pray for them. And He will guide and lead them right to become successful and well-balanced adults.
