LET US REMAIN IN GOD’S LOVE

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Today we all invited to turn our minds and hearts to the Heart that loves us and think of us more than any other heart-The Sacred Heart of Jesus. We are invited to love, care and forgive like Jesus. To see him more clearly, love him more dearly and follow him more nearly daily. Through, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we experience the mercy and forgiveness of God-Divine Mercy., the inexhaustible source of graces and favors. There is no love as great as our God.

All our readings talk about God’s love. In today’s first reading, Moses reminds the people that they are God’s vineyard, God’s chosen ones not because they were a numerous nation, or had status among nations, but because “the LORD loved you…” In our second reading, we are told: “In this way, the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him.”

In today’s Gospel reading, Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” Here Jesus shows that is there and ready to help us.

When Christ was pieced with a lance, Our sins pierced through his loving heart yet he remains sinless. He carried our sufferings and yet we pierced him in the side, He created us to have a heart of love but we in turn pierced his heart with our wickedness. We all have fallen short of God’s glory.

Therefore, when we accept Jesus’ great love for us into the depths of our hearts. The more we know deep down how much we are loved, the freer we are to respond by loving others, and the closer we get to God in Jesus Christ. May the Spirit of God be with us as we remain in Him. Amen.
