P*rn-Addicted Man Kills His 12-Year-Old Daughter

Police in Telangana, India, have arrested a p*rn-addicted man who brutally murdered his 12-year-old daughter, Vasantha, after she refused his attempt to rape her.

The culprit, Banothu Naresh, 35, of Nadigadda Thanda in the Miyapur neighbourhood on the outskirts of Hyderabad, was apprehended on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

On June 7, 2024, Naresh attempted to deceive the authorities by filing a bogus complaint about his missing daughter.

Later, the body of an unnamed girl was discovered in a forest region.

The police summoned Naresh and his wife, who recognised the body, which was then taken to Gandhi’s hospital mortuary on June 14.

Later, the body was turned over to the family for final rites.

At this point, the Miyapur police stepped up their investigation into the missing case, which turned out to be a kidnap-murder.

During the investigation, authorities discovered that Naresh had driven to the forest area with his daughter on a motorbike, but returned alone.

“On suspicion, he was interrogated and Naresh admitted to killing his daughter. The man is addicted to watching porn and wanted to have sex with his daughter,” said Inspector V Durga Rama Linga Prasad, who led the investigation team.

Investigators discovered that Naresh took his daughter to a remote location on June 7 under the guise of collecting firewood.

When he reached a forest beyond Nadigadda Thanda, he compelled her to surrender and satisfy him.

“When the girl protested and tried to escape, he hit her in the face and she fell unconscious. Later he throttled her and then threw a boulder just to ensure that she was dead,” the police officer disclosed.

In an attempt to deceive the authorities, he filed a missing complaint for his daughter, and a kidnapping case was opened.

Later on June 13, the body of a girl was discovered in the forests.

The accused man is from Mahabubabad area and moved to the city early in June to work as a delivery boy for a grocery delivery company.

He was residing at the Nadigadda Thanda in Miyapur.

The police again changed the case’s Sections to 302,201,376 r/w 511 IPC and 5, 6 r/w 18 of the POCSO Act.

He was placed under judicial detention.
