The Exaltation Of The Holy Cross – Feast

Numbers 21:4-9
Psalm 77(78):1-2,34-38
John 3:13-17

We adore you Christ and praise you. Because by your holy cross, you have redeemed the world.

While the exaltation of the Cross may seem incomprehensible to non-believers, for those who have faith, it represents a treasure trove and the path to eternal life. Although it may appear as a vessel of suffering, to the faithful, it is adorned with celestial splendor.

The teachings within the Gospels are inherently challenging, and only through the lens of faith can we envision the eternal reward awaiting us in the glory of the celestial realm.

The Gospel, with its teachings, presents the promise of everlasting life and selfless sacrificial love. Choosing to embrace these teachings will bestow upon us a peace that transcends worldly offerings and boundless joy.

Through Christ’s sacrifice, the cross has been transformed into a symbol of eternal glory for all who observe and follow His path. This choice alone allows us to be uplifted and exalted in the Risen Christ.

Although it may become customary and we might grow weary, it is a calling that only the patient can endure until the end. We venerate the cross and must carry it throughout our lives, for if we view it merely as an ornament or an annual observance, we miss its daily significance.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
