Abia Govt Sets Deadline For Teachers’ Recruitment Documents

The Abia State Government has announced a two-week window for successful applicants in the 2025 Teachers’ Recruitment Exercise to upload their Acceptance Letters and Medical Reports. The online submission window, which opened on June 5, 2025, will close on June 17, 2025.

Requirements for Successful Applicants

To complete the recruitment process, successful applicants are required to:

  • Upload Acceptance Letter and Medical Report: Candidates must upload their Acceptance Letter and Medical Report to the recruitment portal.
  • Re-upload Academic Certificates: Candidates must re-upload all academic certificates as part of the final verification process.
  • Update LGA of Residence and Current Address: Candidates must update their Local Government Area (LGA) of residence and current residential address.

Consequences of Non-Compliance

The government has warned that failure to comply with the requirements within the specified period will be deemed as a rejection of the offer. Additionally, any falsification of medical reports will lead to immediate disqualification.

Digital Notifications

Upon successful submission, candidates will receive digital notifications of their official appointment and deployment letters, which will also be made available online via the Ministry’s portal.

Recruitment Drive

The 2025 teachers’ recruitment drive is an initiative of the Abia State Government to address the paucity of qualified teachers in the public education sector. The government is committed to ensuring that the recruitment process is transparent and efficient.
