African Iconic Women To Decorate Lagos First Lady Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu

Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, the First Lady of Lagos State, is scheduled to receive the highly anticipated title of African Iconic First Lady Of The Year at the African Iconic Women Awards (AIWRA) in 2024.

This is a token of appreciation for her contributions to the advancement of women’s and children’s rights in her home state of Lagos and its surrounding areas.

Her rise to prominence was facilitated by an online campaign that garnered support from the general electorate.

Because of the numerous empowerment initiatives she has implemented to improve people’s lives, she is adored by women in the state.
Being a mother and a living example of kindness, she never disguises her affection for kids, especially those from less privileged backgrounds.

The AIWRA is organised by Face of Democracy Nigeria (FDN) and is also designed to recognise outstanding women for their contributions in peace building and national development.

Addressing newsmen shortly after the release of the preliminary list of awardees in Abuja recently, the Project Director of FDN, Alexander Ajagbonna, better known as Fajag, expressed satisfaction with the profile of award nominees.

Other awardees include, Denis Nyakeru Tshisekedi Congo first lady, Fatima Bago, Uzoamaka Nwifuru, Fatima Tajudeen Abbas, Fatima Dikko Radda, Hurriyya Dauda Lawal, Gloria Diri, Natasha Akpoti, Hon. Boma Goodhead Bola Shagaya, Aisha Dahiru Binani.

The winners will be decorated on May 23 at Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja.

Congratulations on your incredible success ma’am!

Live with Purpose, Love with Passion. Remember to be happy

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
