Almost everyone has been turned down for a job at some point in their lives, and if you’ve been turned down for numerous jobs at the same time, you’ll understand how frustrating and distressing it can be.

However, one woman’s inability to get contacted for an interview at nearly 60 different organizations was completely her own fault – after she made a critical error in her applications.

According to the Daily Star, Ashleigh Keenan published her humorous mishap on her Twitter account, @AshleighKeenan, saying that she was attempting to link her CV to various online applications as a teenager but subsequently realized she was accidentally uploading data from her period tracker.

She wrote, “I will never forget applying for jobs when I was 17 for months and never hearing anything back, only to realize about 60 applications later that I was attaching my period tracker and not my CV.”

Ashleigh’s hilarious post has already gone viral, garnering more than 49,000 likes and hundreds of amusing Twitter comments.

A user said: “Thanks for that laugh today. It made me laugh out loud. I hope you got great jobs after. You deserve it.”

Another user commented: “I actually can’t breathe from laughing. You’re a legend.”

Also, another said: “Sorry to laugh Ashleigh but that is hilarious.”

The post also drew the attention of recruiters, who were able to corroborate that people submit erroneous attachments every time, as well as others who had experienced similar mishaps.

A recruiter said: “As a recruiter, I cannot stress to the general public enough: please check your attachments. I’ve had everything from nudes, travel documents, and even a death certificate.”

Also, someone with a similar experience said, “I sent my CV under my MSN messenger email and completely forgot that the picture that went with it was me in my boxers standing to attention shall we say.”

Another said, “I applied for work once and was accidentally sending the lyrics to Hurt by Johnny Cash instead of a CV.”
