American singer and songwriter; Alicia Keys has announced details of a new double album titled ‘Keys’. It’s been a little over a year since Alicia Keys released her seventh album, we are so glad she is releasing another one.

The new record was recently previewed by the new single ‘Lala (Unlocked)’ Featuring vocals by Sway Lee and producing Mike Will Made It.

In a new Instagram video, Keys revealed that the new record, which has yet to have a definite release date, will feature two sides, Side A labeled ‘Original’ and Side B labeled ‘Unlocked’. Side B will be produced entirely by Kendrick Lamar collaborator, Mike Will Made-It.

“My new album ‘Keys’ will have two types of songs,” says a robotic voice in the announcement video, with Side A promising “cozy piano vibes,” while Side B will sound “upbeat, drums and level up.”

‘Keys’ will follow the singer-songwriter’s 2020 album ‘Alicia’. Reviewing last year’s record upon release, Alicia Keys’ seventh album was originally due out in March, but then pandemic panic intervened. At the time, the slick pop-R&B single ‘Underdog’ followed 2012’s ‘Girl on Fire’ was climbing the charts to become her biggest hit, so six months of push-back might not have boosted her commercial fortunes.

“But creatively, the delay is understandable, as this album’s combination of positivity, empathy, and self-knowledge just feels rich enough.”

Earlier this year, Keys shared the 20th-anniversary edition of her groundbreaking debut album “Songs in a Minor,” a special edition set featuring the original album recording sessions, “Crazy (Mi Corazon)” and two previously unreleased songs. Bonus tracks made were included. ‘Foolish Heart’, the latter of which was the first song she recorded.

Over the years, Alicia Keys has won 15 Grammys across six albums.
