American Idol Finalist Dies In Auto Crash

The organizers of American Idol has announced the tragic death of one of its very talented singer who died in an auto crash in the US.

Former ‘American Idol’ contestant Willie Spence died on Tuesday. He was reportedly driving a 2019 Jeep Cherokee on Interstate 24 in Marion County, Tenn., when his vehicle left the road at about 4 p.m. on Tuesday and collided with the back of a tractor trailer, authorities reported.

Spence was pronounced dead at the scene from “multisystem trauma due to motor vehicle accident,” according to the Marion County Medical Examiner.

Both drivers of the truck were wearing seatbelts, and the trailer driver was not injured, the crash report said.

23yrs old Willie Spence, who was from Georgia, finished in second place on season 19 of American Idol last year.

The singing competition show released a statement saying Spence “was a true talent who lit up every room he entered”.

“We are devastated about the passing of our beloved American Idol family member, Willie Spence,” the statement said. “We send our condolences to his loved ones.”

Singer Luke Bryan, a judge on the show, said Spence “could change the mood instantly when he started singing”.

“He will truly be missed,” Bryan said on Twitter.

Rest in peace, Willie Spence. Our deepest condolences to Willie Spence’s family, friends, and loved ones during this time of grief.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
