Angélique Kidjo, a legendary figure in Beninese music, has revealed that her much awaited album, “Hope,” will be released on April 24, 2026.
In addition to worldwide performers like Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers, the 14-track CD honors her late mother Yvonne and includes duets with Nigerian music icons Davido, Ayra Starr, and The Cavemen.
Kidjo disclosed in an Instagram post that “Hope” has been in the works for five years, mirroring the message of optimism she received from her mother, who died five years ago.
The five-time Grammy-winning singer, “5 years in the making: my new album HOPE!! Dedicated to my mother, Yvonne, is coming out on April 24th.
“She is the one who taught me that every dream I had could be accomplished, that HOPE for a better future is what makes us human. She left us 5 years ago, but her message resonates to this very day.
