Australia Confused As Mysterious Object Washes On The Beach

A mysterious “unidentified” dome that washed up on a West Australian beach has left police perplexed. The enormous metal item was discovered by locals at Green Head beach, around 250 kilometers (155 miles) north of Perth.

Authorities from the state and the federal government are looking into the object, which is not currently thought to be from a commercial aircraft. Police have asked that people stay a safe distance away since it is being treated as dangerous.

Police released a statement in which they assured the public that they were “actively engaged in a collaborative effort with various State and Federal agencies to determine the object’s origin and nature.”

Residents of Green Head beach said that the cylinder was between 2.5m and 3m long and approximately 2.5m wide.

Residents came to the location on Saturday night to view the cylinder, according to the ABC, and one local called it a “great social evening”.

He told the ABC, “It was a lovely, still night, and the kids were digging sand castles around it.”

Geoffrey Thomas, an aviation expert, speculated that the object might have been a fuel tank from a rocket that had crashed into the Indian Ocean at some point in the previous 12 months.

The Australian space agency said it was likely that the enormous cylinder may have fallen from a “foreign space launch vehicle” and that it will coordinate with other international organizations.

There was some suspicion that the cylinder might have been from MH370, a plane that vanished off the coast of western Australia in 2014 carrying 239 people, but Thomas stated there was “no chance” of that.

Since MH370 was missing nine and a half years ago, there would be far more wear and tear on the debris, he claimed. “It’s not any part of a Boeing 777.”

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
