The singer and reality personality Uriel Oputa has spoken out after her uncle, seasoned Nollywood actor Fabian Adibe, died at the age of 82.
Uriel expressed her dissatisfaction with people who failed to inquire about her late uncle’s well-being during his lifetime, but may now attempt to show “fake love,” in a touching Instagram story.
She wrote: “I’m just waiting for the fake love to start. I can’t say much out of respect, but you see this one here, it’s very personal to me.
“Nobody checked on my uncle.
“To my bestie Chi and her sister NK, God bless you both for what you did for Popsi. Rest on sir.”
On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Fabian Adibe, who is cherished for his part in Things Fall Apart and other Nollywood masterpieces, departed from this life.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
