Aikou and Flora have been revealed as the inaugural winners of Big Brother Naija Season 11’s “The Gambit” twist, which guarantees their safety in the house until the finale but disqualifies them from competing for the main ₦160 million prize.
During Sunday’s live broadcast, viewers cast their votes to select one male and one female housemate for this special role. The announcement confirmed that Flora, with 29.38% of the votes, is the female Gambit, while Aikou, securing 9.10%, is the male Gambit. Other contenders included Abi, who received 6.07%, and Ricky, with 7.30%.
On the official X (formerly Twitter) account, the organizers shared, “Voters have made their choice for The Gambit.
Aikou and Flora are now safe until the final, but there’s a catch—they aren’t competing for the ₦160 million grand prize anymore.”
The organizers also hinted at the upcoming phase of the twist by asking fans, “What’s your first challenge for The Gambit this week?”
Aikou, 25, hails from Abuja and works as a freelance web developer and educator. Known for his love of books, he describes himself as calm, resilient, and articulate. He admits to feeling most comfortable when alone and has a low tolerance for dishonesty. Currently single, he’s open to falling in love again.
Flora, a makeup artist from Delta State, is celebrated for her confidence and sense of style. She describes her romantic life as “complicated” and believes her boldness and honesty keep her housemates on their toes.
Biggie previously explained that the “Gambit” gameplay would grant the chosen housemates extended stay in the house, but at a significant cost. “This gameplay is called The Gambit. If selected, you’ll enjoy longevity in the house, ensuring you remain until the season’s conclusion. However, you won’t be competing for the grand prize,” he revealed.
