Be Bold, Christ Is Our Victor

Monday of the 7th week of Eastertide

Acts 19:1-8
John 16:29-33

In this troubled world, we cannot avoid facing challenges. But how can we remain courageous? The Holy Spirit is the source of our fortitude. It was the gift that enabled the children of Fatima to promote the devotion to Our Lady of Fatima.

She was filled with the Holy Spirit at the Annunciation. Empowered by the loving and nurturing Spirit, the children remained confident amidst family and societal pressures.

Just as the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete brought new life upon the disciples, not to condemn, but to grant us a fuller life. May He not reject us but draw us closer to Himself.

May He hear the cry of our seeking souls, see the pain of our suffering bodies and feel the loss of our grieving spirits. May the Spirit of truth abide with us, to teach and lead us, to comfort and heal us, and to shield and protect us. Amen.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
